My buddy Hot Lips knows more about college hoops than anyone -- especially Billy Packer! -- so take these picks for what they are... overly analyzed and out on a limb:

Hot Lips upsets... Manhattan over Fla. - Richmond over Wisconsin - East Tenn St over Cincy - Western Mich over Vandy. These all sound good, but it know that Hot Lips went to Richmond, so his vision is extremely clouded. But he says it'll be low scoring, and the Spiders can bomb 3s on Wisconsin's zone D.

Hot Lips Final Four... Gonzaga - Wake - Miss St - Stanford

Also, Terrapins nation has to to be bitter about the 12:40 start time on Thursday. Hopefully they'll spank UTEP and rumble on.

  Everyone is talking about Wisconsin playing in Milly and beating UR and Pitt, but I agree with Hot Lips. Wisconsin is going down. PirateEye is missing a few things. Wisconsin plays great D including banging people up in the post, but Richmond doesn't do a lot a moving in the post. There will be a lot of high screens including outside the arc. Look for Harris to get shut down by T. Dobbins who is one of the best defenders in the country. Not sure who Wisc will look to for scoring.

  Hot Lips is an uninformed idiot. With regard to the Spiders bombing 3's on Wisconsin's zone defense. The truth is that the Badgers play a very tight, effective and physical man defense. It is highly regarded as the Badgers often make more free throws than their opponents shoot. Look for the Spider to get squashed.

  I'm blowing off the afternoon to be in front of a tv for the 12:40 Maryland tip. Not everyone can have tv's in the office.
