Boston and New York have seized the landscape. Their fans have forgotten about work, discovered prayer and are as important to this drama as the men in uniform. The rest of us are just witness to the greatest sports story ever told -- the ending of which hangs in the balance to be retold for generations to come.
And if I had more talent and hours in this day, I'd try my best to pen a masterpiece similar to the one ESPN's Eric Neel published this afternoon. Read 'Time for Curt's Storybook Game' if you get a chance, and gather friends and family around the telly tonight. This game, this series, this rivalry is what sports fans hope for and dream about. The Bronx beckons.

Um... not everyone cares. Ratings for the NASCAR race this past Saturday evening were up fourteen percent over last year's race. And believe it or not, even some baseball fans don't give a rip about this tiff between the two most overpublicized franchises in sports. (Okay, I'm a bitter A's fan.)
