All-Envy Team: Welcome Matt Leinart

Make room on the All-Envy Team for Matt Leinart. First he's the star QB at USC. Then he dates surfergirl/model Veronica Kay. Next he wins the Heisman. And now he's becoming Tom Brady West. Check out excerpts from the recap of how he spent his time in New York after winning the award:

· "Leinart held court at Marquee -- NY's hottest club -- alongside teammate Reggie Bush and fellow Heisman hopefuls Alex Smith and Adrian Peterson."

· "Leinart scoped out the place the night before and bumped into Lindsay Lohan, Adam Sandler and Colin Farrell."

· "Every indication seems to be pointing to Leinart making a return trip to the Marquee in April -- after he becomes the first pick of the NFL Draft."

Yep, that's the "autograph me" face.

Who's on your All-Envy Team?

Some members of my all-envy team...

-- Snoop Dogg (no matter what he does, everyone thinks he's cool)
-- Derek Jeter (dated Jessica Alba, Vanessa Minnillo, etc)
    -- Hugh Heffner (obvious reasons)
-- Joe Paterno (old, inept, and senile...but can't get fired even if he tries)
-- "Moxon" from 'Varsity Blues' (took part in a gratuitous whipped cream scene, plus had the skills and smarts)
-- "Gordon Bombay" from 'Mighty Ducks' (produced more dominating little leaguers than Tom Emansky; hooked up with "Aunt Becky" look-a-like at end of D2; maintained a hockey program for years on end, all while sustaining no full time job after quitting Duckworth's firm)
-- "Billy Haywood" from 'Little Big League' (got to managed a major league franchise and go through puberty at the same time; referred to himself in the 3rd person multiple times during the movie)

J, I'm gonna write a big column on this...  email me and we'll work something up.

Why is everybody so down on Matt Leinart.  All he did was lead USC to 12-0 with a brand spanking new set of WRs.  He is loved by his teammates for his unselfish play.  And more important he beat Aaron Rogers when it counted, and hopefully he also beat Jason White.   What he did after losing Kerry Corbert and Mike Williams two of the best recievers last year is short of incredible.  He has only lost one game as a starter.  Matt Leinart won the Heisman Trophy very deserventaly.  If anyone showed all that exemplfies the qualities worthy of the Heisman , it was Leinart.

Leinart isnt even the best QB in the Pac 10...Aaron Rodgers of CAL is, and will be taken higher in the draft than Leinart.

Leinart is a total stud. Look at that face, that arm and that body. Strong arm and huge feet. I would pay to see him naked. Nice ass.
