Opening Day 2005

You think Curt Schilling is super stoked to get healthy in time for Opening Day at Yankee Stadium vs. the Bombers and Randy Johnson? Here's an excerpt of his conversation w/ ESPN's Jayson Stark:

"Pitching against the most dominating pitcher in the last 20 years, maybe the last 100 years. Yankee Stadium. As a member of the Boston Red Sox. Coming off a World Series. Given all that, I mean, that is a dream game. ... Given our history [his and the Unit's], playing together, and everything that's happened. ... Let's put it this way. I'll be pretty amped up."

The rest of the interview is highly recommended. Schilling touches on Pedro's departure, Varitek's return and the inclusion arrival of David Wells, Matt Clement and Wade Miller in Boston's 2005 rotation.

Pray for Schilling vs. Unit on Opening Day.
