Hearing Va. Tech upset Ga. Tech
Player of the Year?
Chris Paul has to be the best player in the country, right? He shoots 57% from 3 and 86% from the stripe. He's a 6' footer who consistently gets to the rim. He drops a delicious dish every few minutes. He'll pickpocket ya. He can score at will (if he wants to) or share the points w/ Justin Gray and Eric Williams when need be. And all this from a 168-lb. sophomore leader of a top-five team.
Tall Paul
1/23 update: Sportz Assassin's Hoops Land lists the top 2005 NBA Draft prospects, and says, "Paul could very well be the top pick in the draft. He's a physical specimen that's lightning quick and can score anywhere on the court. He's also a great point man that can find the open guy. An excellent player for a team like the Hawks, Hornets or Bobcats."

1/26 update: In response to Rickin815's comment below, Illinois is definitely the best team in the country right now (especially after breaking Wisconsin's 38-game home win streak), but I'd still take a player of Paul's caliber over any of the individual Illini. Thanks to all who've added their opinions.

<font color=green><b>Chris Paul just shot 2-11, was outscored 30-8 by Will Bynum of Georgia Tech, and Wake Forest lost. I'm not sure that Chris Paul is even the best guard on his own team. Can a Wake Forest fan be expected to be objective about how good Chris Paul is? LOL. (I'm not a Wake Forest nor a Georgia Tech fan, by the way.)

Clearly Chris Paul is the best guard in college basketball. He is the total package in respect to a true point guard - with exceptional ability.
You can tell the world that I said it - Glenn Davis knows

The Illinois guards dominated the Wake guards/Chris Paul. Luther Head has all the tools, and Dee Brown is faster on the break/better on steals, and D Williams is a better ball-handler and distributer. Chris Paul may be good. Illinois guards have SHOWN they are better.
