Hearing Handsome Boy Modeling School

Thursday Morning Blog

· First off, who wants to sex Mutombo?

Ron Mexico wants to sex Mutombo.

· Speaking of, get your Ron Mexico t-shirt, which the No Fun League is not happy about. Thanks to Lush for the links.

· Saved by the Blog posts about the next great Dukie to hate and Clinton Portis' freaky deaky Crib ("freak" like Rick James, not "freak" like Jevon Kearse).

· Jermaine O'Neal is anti-age limit, as is the Sportz Assassin (who analyzes the issue really well right here). Even Kwame Brown came out against the age limit, and he ain't done ---- (although he still gets paid).

· Regardless of the potential age limit, the No-Layup Rule is still in effect High Above Courtside.

· Chris Paul's going pro and NBADraft.net says he'll go 3rd while CollegeHoopsNet.com has him going 2nd.

· My favorite pop culture writer, Chuck Klosterman, proved himself prescient in this month's Esquire: "The key to developing a modern [college hoops] program is finding the type of player that used to be roundly criticized: the so-called 'tweener. NBA scouts are afraid to touch these guys, b/c all they see are matchup dilemmas. This keeps them in school, where they absolutely destroy people. Wayne Simien is the prototype, but others include Hakim Warrick and a truckload of mofos at Illinois and OK St. Though I'm writing this before the NCAA Tournament has begun (and you're reading it after it's over), I suspect one of these 'tweeners has already made the difference in the Final Four. And I bet it was Sean May." Check out Klosterman's top 21 rock albums of the 21st century.

· Coming tomorrow: my recap of being at Opening Night in DC.
