Is Ron Mexico a Good QB?
As we're wont to do, my kid brother and I just argued over IM for 15 minutes about Vick's true value as a QB in the NFL. He thinks the Falcons would be better off replacing Vick with upstart backup Matt Schaub. I think (actually, no, I know because it's a freaking fact) that Atlanta is 14-4 over the past two seasons when Vick starts and are 0-3 when Schaub starts. In my mind, the case is closed, Vick is a winner and probably one of the top-five QBs in the league.
However, The Football Scientist, The Mighty MJD and others have joined my idiot brother in saying that Vick is an inaccurate passer, a poor decision maker and a herpes victim. So I pose the question to you, sports fans... How good is Michael Vick?
While you're pondering that question, here's some more internet goodness that, coincidentally, is all about racin':

Hey Jamie, I have to agree with your bro on this one. Shaub has only started 3 games.... Vick is the most injury prone player in the NFL. That's why I never draft the bum in my fantasy league. http://journals.aol.com/zbar8

I THINK HIS VERY TALENTED AND IS THE KIND OF PLAYER YOU ENJOY WATCHING LIKE A MICHAEL JORDAN, LEBRON JAMES, COBY,MANNY,ORTIZ
TO BE AT THE SAME LEVEL OF THIS PLAYERS MEANS THAT HIS GREAT. -
Only ONCE did Shaub hold an offensive drive longer than 2:44....and only FOUR drives went for more than 2 1/2 minutes. Only three drives were longer than 5 plays. By comparison...the Pats had SIX drives longer than 2:44.
In the game in Buffalo [whose defense is playing much better than the Pats']...Vick had drives of 10, 10, 9, 9 and 9 plays.....with four drives lasting at least 4 1/2 minutes.
Sure, the defense gave up 28 pts to New England....but it was the offense's lack of sustaining drives that help attribute to that.
