Ready for Primetime: Gar's Stache and Ozzie's Goatee

It's game day, friends. No, not College Football Gameday (there are only three good ones today anyway) but World Series game day. The ChiSox are done partying with blondes, and, since I've already picked the South Siders to win in seven, here are a few more predictions and links as we prepare for Fox's extreme closeups on Garner and Guillen before and after ever single pitch:

-- Konerko is this year's Beltran. Like Carlos before him, Paul will shine in the spotlight just in time to hit the free-agent market. He already has four bombs in eight playoff games (Beltran had eight in 12), and he'll drop a couple more against the 'Stros vaunted staff.

-- Clemens extends his legend. In seven World Series starts, the Rocket has a 1.90 ERA. He'll get two more chances vs. Chicago to show that he's not only the greatest post-WWII starter ever but one of the best late-October ones too.

Roger Clemens Rocket's never had a WS misfire.

Clemons is already hurt in game one. How much did he hurt the Astros by remaining in the game in the 2nd when he could not retire the side just so he woul not have to make that long walk to the dugout with all the boo birds on him? He was obviously in pain.
