T.O. Disrespects McNabb (Again)
In an exclusive interview with an 18-year old, T.O. does nothing to dispel rumors that he's the biggest donkey in the league. Excerpts from a story on ESPN.com this morning:
"If Donovan wasn't hurt our record would probably be better."
Well, that's not so bad. Common sense, really. Simple common sense.
ESPN analyst Michael Irvin recently said the Eagles would be undefeated if Favre were the starting quarterback. Asked for his thoughts on Irvin's comment, Owens said: "That's a good assessment, I would agree with that, just with what [Favre] brings to the table.
"A number of commentators will say he's a warrior, he's played with injuries. I feel like him being knowledgeable about the quarterback position, I feel like we'd probably be in a better situation."
Now that's just asinine. No disrespect to Favre, but I'm sure he would have been the difference in that 23-point loss at Dallas or the 28-point loss at Denver. Philly's defense giving up 82 total points and their best RB gaining 60 yards on the ground had nothing to do with it. Nothing at all.
And these comments come on the eve of Owens possibly sitting out two games with a sprained ankle after McNabb has gutted it out all season by playing with a sports hernia as well as chest, rib and shin injuries. How Donovan continues to hear drivel like this and not beat the tar out of Owens is beyond me. The man is a saint.
