Tuesday Afternoon Roundup

I haven't been able to do as much blogging as normal over the past couple days, but here is some hotness I had to share before going to the Wiz-Nugs game tonight:

-- J.J. Redick is a nice guy. I've always hated Duke, but listen to our interview with Redick and it's hard not to like the guy. My favorite part is when we ask him about his poetry and he takes the conversation to the '7th Floor Crew.'

-- Check out AOL Sports. The new sports main page over on AOL is now doing what it can to promote the best and most topical sports blogs on the web. It launched about five minutes ago and entries from Yay Sports!, Deadspin, Off Wing, Baseball Musings and Mister Irrelevant are all directly linked to from the page. More on this later.

-- Hockey buzz. Crosby and Ovechkin face off tonight. Also, Eric over at Off Wing was invited to a Caps game by Ted Leonsis. Check it out.

-- Portis is getting attention. As the Redskins RB continues to play dress-up for the media each week, more and more nationwide interest is coming his way. Deadspin has it all.

-- Seizures aren't cool. I actually used to have seizures when I was a kid, and, unfortunately, Jiri Fischer of the Red Wings had one on the bench last night. Detroit Sports Blog is all over it.

-- My favorite thing. The best thing I've seen all week is Adam Morrison's mustache. It's phenomenal. The Gonzaga stud looks like Randall 'Pink' Floyd from Dazed & Confused after he'd been in college for a couple years.

 Morrison's 'Stache!

Update: Morrison scored 43 last night in a double OT win over Michigan St. His 'stache was in full MF effect.

I know of a case where a kid was in a car that was driving in Miami and the sun flashing between row after row of palm trees produced a shutter effect that set off a Grand Mal.
