Growing Beards Is Gaining Legs
Since we last checked in with Chicago-land insurance agent John Kent's beard-growing movement (a.k.a. "Grow-yer-Whiskers-fer-Winning!) a lot has happened:
2. Kent appeared on SBL radio.
3. A Shave Kyle Orton petition began.
4. Kent launched BearsSuperFans.com.
5. The Super Bowl Shuffle has been rewritten for '05.
As football fans and internets geeks, we can only root for da Bears to keep winning (they host Green Bay Sunday!), the whiskers to keep growing and, with any luck, someone to lay down a 7th Floor Crew-worthy beat for the new Shuffle.
Update: Kent is featured in Gilberts Journal (nice pic) and informs me that he'll be at the Bears-Packers game handing out 100 used Bears jerseys to superfans in need. He also says his sister (Miss Illinois 2004 runner-up) is now growing her leg hair in support of Orton and da Bears. More to come, I'm sure.
Nothing says "rap" like jazz hands.
