Pigskin Bloggers broke the earth-shattering story of Bears superfan John "Whiskers" Kent and his beard-growing movement (here and here), so we feel the need to update you on this startling development ... Kent met the orginal beard himself:

"Kyle Orton gave out autographs to over 300 fans last night, including your truly, Superfan John Kent! I was also able to network with a lot of other superfans in the line. Everyone agreed that Kyle Orton is here to stay and we're going all the way!"

I love Kent's enthusiasm. I love that he networks with other fans of his team. And I love his unabashed support for his rookie QB. Let's face it ... I have a blog crush on the man and am now fully on board da Bears bandwagon.

  This photo proves that Kent and Orton are indeed two different people.  I wasn't sure until just now.
