Viral Sports Videos of 2005

One of the best new offerings on AOL this year -- aside from Sports Bloggers Live, of course -- is Viral Video, which is an aptly named corral for short videos that tend to be passed around the internets until one day your aunt sends it to you and it's just not cool anymore. Anyway, Viral Video is now featuring the Best Videos of 2005, and two sports-related ones made the cut:

'Boom Goes the Dynamite' -- An instant classic. I think I've watched it 10 times and quoted it endlessly. It's nearly four minutes of constantly painful humor. If you haven't seen it, then I'm not sure how you found my blog and you should certainly click on the link right now.

'Chinese Backstreet Boys' -- Qualifies in the sports genre because they're wearing Rockets jerseys. It's beyond me as to why this video became so popular, but I must be out of step because these guys made it on the Today Show.

Three sports videos not making the Best of 2005 cut but still included in AOL's Viral Video area:

'Fireworks Hit Goalie' -- Crazy nine-second clip. Freaking hooligans.

'Jennifer Aniston Sports Illustrated Spoof' -- A pre-Friends Aniston in a faux-Swimsuit issue shoot wearing horrific bikinis (but bikinis nonetheless).

'Golf Course Airhorn' -- An old Jackass clip. Probably not even worth your time.

The best thing about Brad Pitt is that he told Aniston to hit the bricks, or vice versa.
