Fox's Blog-Style Sportswriting Contest Is Down to Two
Fox's Next Great Sportswriter contest is down to two finalists with the winner getting paid to write 20 columns for FoxSports.com. It's a blog-style competition and the final duo are worth a visit: Quick Slants and The Gunn Show. Both are young fellas with witty style, informative and diverse sports musings and pop culture references galore.
The major difference is that Quick Slants is our old soul brother Ty Hildenbrandt from QuickSlants.com who, unlike the Gunn Show, is out of college and needs to get a job in sports journalism before he gets fired from his office job for spending hours on end trying to win online sportswriting contests.
So drop by, check out the final two and give them the ratings they deserve. And good luck, Ty.

Questionable calls led to the pitt win.

First, let me say, I'm neither a Seahawks nor Steelers fan. I enjoy good HONEST football, but Sunday's display of honesty was far from being honest. To begin with, the head official, Bill Leavy either took a really big payoff to steal the Superbowl from the rightful winners or he needs glasses. Number one, the first touchdown scored and legally I might say, was called back because the receivers hand was on the chest of the defender. He never pushed the defender away, nor did he prevent the defender from making an attempt at blocking or catching the ball.
Number two, the touchdown supposedly scored by the (Stealers) Steelers quarterback never touched nor crossed the endzone line, which in Pro ball, it must do so to be a touchdown. The ball never crossed the line.
Coach Bill, if you wanted a Superbowl win so badly, why didn't your team play and win it honestly, instead of having the head official hand it to you illegally. We need to have the heads of the NFL and AFC Leagues make ALL officials accountable to both Leagues, as we pay premium prices for tickets that maker the owners primarily wealthier than they already are and outrageous incomes to top players.
The score should have been Seattle 17 (Stealers) Steelers 14
