Hearing Tom Arnold say, "I party in my own way. I just don't smoke crack."

SBL XL Spectacular (or Spectacle) Is Upon Us!

The reason this site has seen so few updates in the past 72 hours basically boils down to this and this alone: we aired a two-hour Sports Bloggers Live XL preview show last night co-hosted by Tom Arnold at the NFL Experience in Detroit. It's twice as long as any show we've ever done and represents the first time we've ever broad/web/podcasted from a remote location. It was a high-wire act of the highest, most wiry order but somehow came together despite all of the behind-the-scenes chaos. The show is up and running now and getting chopped up into easily digestible bits and pieces, but here's what it all entails:

· Full interviews: Joe Montana, Fox's Frank Caliendo, Seattle's Michael Boulware, Detroit's Scott Vines, SI's Jeffri Chadiha and Deadspin's A.J. Daulerio

· Exclusive clips: Jon Bon Jovi, John Elway, Flea, Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Hasselbeck, Jerome Bettis, Mike Holmgren, Hines Ward, Dan Marino, ESPN's Michael Wilbon and Steelerbaby

· Prize winners: Critical Fanatic and High Above Courtside

· Listener voicemails: Some dude, Sportz Assassin and Vegas Loser

and

· A spectacular bet: Lush's 'stache vs. Erin's legs

Sports Bloggers Live XL's All-Star Lineup Just one-third of the SBL XL guests

Related: Come back to Sports Bloggers Live Sunday night right after the game for our live post-game show featuring Steelers, Seahawks, TV and ad bloggers.

Hard pressed to decide which was worse.  Officiating gets the nod followed closely by half-time show.

It's not much of a contest when the "officials" throw the momentum of the game to the "winners".  What is the point in playing the game?????  It has lost its meaning.
