2006 NFL Offseason Player Movement Preview
Like Chuck Norris, the NFL does not sleep. It waits. That said, the fine folks over at Football Outsiders break down the NFL free agent and trade market, posting analysis and predictions for most every player available this offseason. Here are the most high-interest guys along with Football Outsiders' predicted destination and my quick commentary. Feel free to post who you want your team to get (or not get), and enjoy...
Free Agents
-- Terrell Owens, KC or Denver: Seems to make more sense for KC than Denver, although anyone interested in T.O. should know this -- karma's a bitch.
-- Edgerrin James, stays in Indy or goes to NE: Edge-to-the-Pats would be a cruel twist of fate for Colts fans.
-- Shaun Alexander, Carolina: I'm just not a huge Alexander fan, but the Panthers would be a great fit.
-- Reggie Wayne, stays in Indy: I hope he does because I don't wanna see him pull a Peerless Price in DC.
-- Antwaan Randle El, Washington or Chicago: Someone's going to overpay, preferably the Bears.
-- Others of interest: Jamal Lewis stays in Baltimore or goes to 'Zona, Jon Kitna to Dallas or Baltimore, Mike Vanderjagt to Dallas or Minnesota.
Trade Bait
-- Daunte Culpepper, stays in Minnesota: He'll have a lot to prove wherever he plays.
-- Ray Lewis, stays in Baltimore: Shouldn't he be a career-long Raven?
-- Ricky Williams, stays in Miami: He and Ronnie Brown make for an interesting and effective backfield.
-- Phillip Rivers, stays in SD: The saga continues.
Cap Casualties
-- Keyshawn Johnson, stays in Dallas: He can only play for Bill Parcells at this point.
-- Joey Harrington, stays in Detroit: Dre Bly needs someone to piss on.
-- Eric Moulds, stays in Buffalo or goes to Baltimore: I'd love to see him opposite Santana Moss in Washington.
-- Ty Law, NE or Cleveland: Would be interesting to see him reunited with Romeo Crennel.

First off, everyone knows Dan Snyder IS going to overpay for atleast one bum that should be playing for the Saints next year. I dont see a Reggie Wayne coming to DC but I can definitely see old Gibby boy salivating over the chance to bag Randle El with his trick-play-performances in the playoffs. I also wouldnt be surprised to Mike Vanderjagt in a Skins uni.
As for my Cowboys, the NEED to bring in a Vanderjagt as well as a quarterback like Rivers. What I can see them actually doing is trading Larry Allen and a 1st round pick this year, next year and the year after for a Ricky Williams or Ray Lewis.
