Abraham Traded to Denver (and Other NFL Rumors)

Jets TV, a dandy new video blog (vlog) run by a young man with good J-E-T-S insight and on-camera presence, reports that his source tells him John Abraham has been traded to Denver for the 29th pick in this year's draft. Makes a lot of sense considering that #29 would look awfully enticing with their #4 in exchange for Houston's #1. That way NY could get the QB they want and the Texas could grab LT D'Brickashaw Ferguson and fill another need as well.

Coztanza's Jets Commentary hasn't weighed in yet (although he predicted this two weeks ago) and the Jets Blog is trying on their new jersey.

More non-CBA rumors from around the NFL...

· Pro Football Talk's rumor mill continues to churn out interesting Vince Young-Wonderlic tidbits:

"A league source tells us that, indeed, Young's Saturday Wonderlic was re-scored due to a grading error. And the "real" score was higher than the six that spread through the scouting combine like a flash fire in a balsa wood factory... After further review, he got a seven...

Published reports indicate that Young had received no preparation for the Wonderlic, and that he had no idea he'd be expected to take it at the combine...

A league source tells us that Young's do-over actually was a do-over. In other words, he got the same version of the test on Sunday that he had taken on Saturday. There are multiple versions of the Wonderlic.  We've heard the NFL uses five or six; we've seen in print somewhere that there are as many as 18. But Vince somehow pulled the same version on Sunday that he'd seen on Saturday."

· FO's Michael David Smith reveals what half the scouts in Indy were saying:

"[Jay Cutler] is just a Vanderbilt QB who's nothing special."

· Ben Maller reveals Philly's first big free agent signing:

"The Eagles will have to wait a few more days, but it appears as if their first big free-agent signing of the off-season is going to be LeCharles Bentley, the Pro Bowl center from the New Orleans Saints. According to a source close to the center, Bentley's interest in joining the Eagles is so strong that only the delay in the free-agency period prevented the move from happening today."

· Maller also sheds light on the Jets next QB:

"Pursuing Bengals QB Jon Kitna, 33, appears to be the Jets top priority. Several other teams, including the Baltimore Ravens, are also rumored to be interested in pursuingKitna. He makes sense for the Jets because he's a proven player who can serve as a hold-the-fort guy until the Jets get their quarterback of the future in place, plus he won't break the bank."

· Finally, the NFL is really mindful of gay issues:

"There’s a scene in Brokeback Mountain that revolves around the characters watching football on television on Thanksgiving. The NFL refused to allow its footage to be used in the scene, so it’s a CFL game on the family set. A producer of Brokeback Mountain has implied that the NFL wouldn’t allow its footage to be used because the movie is about a gay relationship. The NFL says that had nothing to do with it."

Gay marriage caught on in Canada because both cowboys could watch the CFL game during the sex act.
