Hearing ACC semifinals

Mmmm... Doughnut Bacon Cheeseburger

A Frontier League team in souther Illinois, the Gateway Grizzlies, have set out to offer "baseball's best burger":

"The burger consists of a thick and juicy burger topped with sharp cheddar cheese and two slices of bacon. The burger is then placed in between each side of a Krispy Kreme Original Glazed doughnut."

ESPN.com's story (which is their most-sent of the past 24 hours) notes that the revolutionary burger contains 1,000 calories and 45 grams of fat, which actually isn't as bad as a Triple Whopper. I'd have to have one. Too bad they'll only be sold at Grizzlies games.

Ballpark burger That's doughnut, people, not bagel. And that's burger, folks, not sausage.

I suppose, like most pro teams, their burgers SHOULD BE GOOD.  They are considerably overpriced.

Haven't tried a Krispy Creme burger. I like my desert AFTER my main course, not as part of it.

Memphis had a tough schedule but won all but 3 games during the regular season regular. Many were by a large margin and included some higher NCAA tournament ranked teams which Memphis had beaten.  They lost to Duke by 3 in the last seconds when Duke was # 1. The lead changed numerous times. They lost to Texas in a game when Memphis did nothing right. They lost to  UAB who has always been their nemesis in their confererence.
During the season they looked like they could beat any final 4 team at times but, at times they had to struggle and looked like they could lose to anyone. Final analysis: A very deep bench with very talented players but Memphis is a very young team which means they could be unpredictable.  They excel in fast paced games but have a little more trouble in slower paced games.  It probably depends on whether they are playing right that night.
