Hearing the Faint
World Yakyu Classic Comes to a Close
Japan beats Cuba to win the inaugural World Baseball Classic.
Baseball Musings calls it "a fitting finish to a fine tournament" before going on to predict an Asian invasion and call for a world super league.
Saved by the Blog can't get behind anything that gets second billing to the NIT.
And I'm still wondering if anyone threw a gyroball.
Cheers, Ichiro and Co.
Bonus: Ducksnorts posts first-hand photos of the final.

Kudos to Japan to stick it out and play some ball. After the tough loss to team USA on a "BAD CALL". They hung in there and survived a talented crop of the world's best. Winners in this event.... Baseball Scouts!!! Losers .... American pride on a 15 million dollar budget. PRICELESS!!!!!!!
