Culpepper: 'Nobody Shooting Dice Wanted a Dance'
Here's the actual lead from the AP story of the day:
"MINNEAPOLIS (March 22) - Former Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper testified Wednesday that he spent his entire time shooting dice during a boat party last fall and rejected offers from lingerie-clad dancers."
The story goes into further, richer detail about the Love Boat Four's trial (see: Moe Williams' assertion that he never touched his lap dancer's breasts), but the funniest item I've seen all day is this new Dolphins jersey...
Not yet banned in Miami!

And I thought that only urban high school teachers like myself had ever heard "shooting dice for money" offered as an attempt to look innocent. When "shooting dice" is his sound-innocent alibi, you know it was a hell of a party.
I used to hear "I wasn't doing anything wrong... I was off getting high" offered as a proof of a child's innocence so many times, I'm not sure if non-teachers think it's funny or not.

Remember North Dallas Forty? All I'm sayin' is when did the paying public sports fans swallow the PR that these guys - in any sport, football, baseball, hockey - curling? (ok, the last one was a joke, but I hear they love their beer) . . .when did we buy into the myth that these guys were all squeeky clean citizens with spotless records and high morals? When were YOU? It was a private party - they are grown men! Dice or Dance?
Get over it Vikings fans. They're Vikings. Rampaging hordes.
