With the success of Paul Shirley's Suns blog a not-too-distant memory, the Rockets decided it would be a good idea to unleash the musings of backup forward Ryan Bowen on the internets. The result? Bowen's blog is, well, not interesting. I refuse to blast the guy for it, seeing as how he is a baller and all and is at least putting himself out there for all to read, but here's a small sample of his material ...

"After our meeting I headed out in search for a place to get my hair cut. I made my way to the mall and found a Regis Salon. I usually get my hair cut at a Supercuts or Great Clips (something along those lines), but Regis worked out just fine."

You get the picture. Now, I found this site via The Basketball Jones, where J.E. Skeets says Bowen is no Shirley and submits his own personal blog ...

"After our meeting I headed out in search for a place to ball. I made my way to the nearby courts and found two stoned dudes who didn’t even have a ball. I usually would’ve asked them to shoot around with me, but they smelt a little ‘off’, so I didn’t."

It only gets funnier from there. Highly recommended.

  Take out the basketball and the stoned dudes, and you have a 6'9" day-in-the-life-of-a-mother blog. He should write in to Scalzi.
