Hearing Sufjan Stevens

Look Out, Blue!

No doubt you heard about this yesterday or maybe even saw the clip on SportsCenter this morning, but Saved by the Blog has the Delmon Young bat-throwing video. And, yeah, Young definitely threw the bat at the umpire, or, more specifically, the replacement ump, rather than flipping it, as previously suggested elsewhere.

In 20+ years of playing and following baseball I've never seen or heard of such a thing and am really curious to see what happens to the kid, who is probably the top prospect in all of baseball. Unfortunately for him, he also happens to be a product of the Devil Rays farm system, so I'm not sure he'll every actually get to play for a real Major League team.

Anyway, how severe a punishment would fit this crime? Post in the comments or call the SBL voicemail hotline -- 1-866-382-7469 -- to leave a message for on-air playback.
