Kentucky Derby on SBL
I've never had so much as a passing interest in horse racing, but I do host SBL and we kind of have to cover the big events. I suppose the Kentucky Derby qualifies. World Cup certainly does, so watch out for that. Anyway, we had Robin Leach and Daily Racing Form's Dan Illman on the program yesterday to discuss the 132nd running of the damn thing.
Highlights include...
· Leach says he'll have 10 of the $1,000 mint juleps.
· The best horse names in the field are Sinister Minister and Steppenwolfer.
· Illman's pick is Brother Derek and top sleepers are Sweet Northern Saint, A.P. Warrior and Point Determined.
Oh, and there was the strange conversation between my brother and Illman about horses looking each other in the eye and one of them getting intimidated by the other. Kind of like when Todd Pinkson goes over the middle.
