Redskins Back to D.C.?
If you ever saw the Redskins play at RFK Stadium and you've ever seen them play at FedEx field, then this excites you to no end...
"D.C. Sports & Entertainment Commission Chairman Mark Tuohey and Mayor Tony Williams plan to meet with Redskins owner Dan Snyder to discuss bringing the team back to RFK Stadium... RFK Stadium's two tenants -- the Nationals, whose new stadium got under way this week, and D.C. United -- are leaving, and the vacated site could be the perfect space to build a new stadium."
Actually, allow me to revise that first statement. If you've ever been to any NFL game anywhere and you've been to FedEx Field in Raljon, MD, then you know this move would behoove all 'Skins fans. FedEx is the most vapid stadium I've ever stepped foot in and it's in the middle of nowhere. Of course, it's only nine years old and holds over 90,000 people and the Danny owns everything within a mile of it, so any move off site is highly unlikely. It's OK to dream, though.
Related: For those still lamenting the loss of the days of RFK, this vintage 'Skins jacket cures what ails you. I think it came straight off of Joe Bugel's back and onto the rack.

I feel the same way about the old and new Boston Gardens.

this would be the best thing to happen to dc sports in over a generation...getting baseball meant the world to me, and this would be soooo much better.
too bad it'll never happen
