Hearing a lot of Neil Young
A Banner Week for SBL
We've been going strong with Sports Bloggers Live for about 75 weeks and over 100 shows now but have never had a week like this. We did the usual two shows sure, but they were jam packed with top-notch guests, headlined by Don Mattingly, Tom Seaver and Big Red himself, Bill Walton. See all the guests and hear all the interviews down below, but do not go any further until listening to this promotional, stream-of-consciousness liner from Walton where he unleashes a sentence I had only hoped and prayed would someday cross his lips, "Throw it down, bloggers! Throw it down!"
Hear the quick mp3 of Walton's SBL liner!
Listen to full SBL interviews with the legends: Mattingly | Seaver | Walton
Highlights include Donnie Baseball on going to our producer's wedding and missing his bar mitzvah, Tom Terrific on today's best pitchers and Walton inviting us to party at Club Red (his estate in San Diego).
Listen to the rest of the SBL conversations from this week: Yanksfan vs. Soxfan | Yay Sports | Detroit Bad Boys | Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio | Real GM's JT Magee | ESPN's Buster Olney | SBL's Craig Thomas | The Catfish Show
Highlights include Soxfan talking about cheering Derek Jeter, Yay criticizing the "LeBron's leaving" contingent, Bad Boys talking smack about the Heat, Florio belittling Reggie Bush's agent, Magee saying LaMarcus Aldridge will go No. 1, Olney on ESPN canceling Bonds on Bonds, Craig going Gonzo and Catfish weighing in on Danica Patrick vs. Kelly Pickler.
That's a lot of show right there. Many thanks to all of our guests and listeners. In fact, I encourage them all -- and you -- to get in on the SBL giveaway: a Mattingly autographed bat and the new book, Spalding's World Tour. It's free and easy, just like listening to our show.
Finally, Subscribe to the SBL podcast and be heard on our show anytime by leaving a voicemail at 1-866-382-7469. We will most definitely play it on our and try our best to make an internet star out of you.
