Reign Man to Dunk Again
Some stories just make me smile, and this one certainly qualifies. Shawn Kemp has lost 75 pounds and is trying out with the Nuggets. The man who sired more children and threw down more dunks than any other player in the '90s may now get to counsel Carmelo Anthony on how to handle NBA superstardom. That's terrific. LaLa can't be happy to hear this.
I, like The Mighty MJD before me, am pulling for the guy, who would get a chance to rectify his image with players and fans alike and maybe even contribute to a Denver playoff run next year. Regardless, we should never forget what kind of player this guy used to be, when he used to rock the hightop fade and turn every game into his own personal dunk contest. Seriously, watch Kemp dunking in all his glory.
