Dirk Fires It Up

Just when I didn't think there were any more ways we could possibly, platonically love Dirk Nowitzki any more than we already do, The Basketball Jones goes and posts this Mavs promo video featuring Dirk and Jason Terry rocking out to 'Rock and Roll (Part 2)' in an Escalade. Here's the dialogue...

Dirk: Hey Jet, you ready to rock ‘n roll?
Jason: Heck, let’s get it.
Dirk: ‘Cuz I’m ready to rock. I’m I’m ready to fire it up.
Jason: Light it up!

Many thanks to TBJ for this find and their Finals predictions. As some of you may know, TBJ is not just an NBA blog but a podcast as well, possibly the finest of its kind, and they're doing post-game shows after each and every Finals game. Be sure to tune in for varying degrees of inebriation... They're funny. They're knowledgeable. They're Canadian!

Related: Hey, the Finals finally start tonight! Here's a position-by-position breakdown.

Bonus Links: Nash and Nowitzki's rock duo, Dirk's love of Hasselhoff and Mark Cuban's rap duo

Update: Skeets informs that no-name Mav Josh Powell is the guy in the back seat in the video.

I like how Dirk wears his uniform everywhere... sort of like The White Shadow, right down to the ex-pro coach and the primarily black peer group. If the character of Salami were replaced by a 7 foot Boche, it'd would be an almost seamless transition.
