Soccer's Yellow Spiderman

Ecuador reaches the second round and gives us the World Cup's best goal celebration (so far). It's striker Ivan Kaviedes pulling a yellow Spiderman mask out of his shorts and putting it on in tribute to fallen teammate Otilino Tenorio. Courtesy of World Cup Blog...

“Tenorio was known as Spiderman for his habit of donning the superhero’s mask during goal celebrations.” Tenorio often donned a mask just like El Nine did today."

 How bizarre

Not bad. Here's to hoping the US gets a chance to top this tomorrow vs. Italy.

Can you believe it? USA tied to Italia 1-1, by an Italian own goal! That own goal was probably the worst ever, he wiffed the lob, the back-heeled it in! Anyways, I doubt anyone could come up with anything as original as the spidy-man mask any time soon.
