Hearing some new indie band named Arms
2006 All-Bad NBA Team
With apologies to Dwyane Wade and Tim Duncan, this year's All-NBA First Team went like this: LeBron, Dirk, Shaq, Kobe and Nash. Courtesy of The City, this year's this year's All-Crappy NBA Team goes like this...
"Guards:
Royal Ivey, PG, Atlanta Hawks
He only averaged 13.4 minutes per game this season, which is remarkably low for a starter. My guess is that once the Hawks were down 20-10 early in the first quarter, Ivey was pulled in favor of a guy like Tyronn Lue or whichever sub-par European player they signed for the league minimum."
Eric Snow, PG, Cleveland Cavaliers
He’s point guard on a team that has weapons such as superstar LeBron James and center Zydrunas Ilgauskas... Even with those two alongside him, Snow could only put up 4.2 assists a game.
Forwards:
Quentin Richardson, G/F, New York Knicks
Q had a pretty tough year. He was traded from Phoenix to the place where basketball careers go to die: New York. His brother was murdered in December, and he had a thumb problem that shut him down all year. But man did he suck this season.
Michael Sweetney, F/C, Chicago Bulls
One thing you’ll never heard said about Sweetney is that he needs to “add bulk to his frame.
Center:
Jason Collins, F/C, New Jersey Nets
If you want to see a guy brick a dunk or accidentally shoot a free throw into the upper deck, here’s your chance... When there’s a better chance of Vince Carter kicking in a half-court shot, it’s time you stopped shooting."
Bonus points to Eric Snow for looking like a Milk Dude (Wizznutzz reference), and great insightful, irreverent work by Dave Isaacs over at The City. Follow the link above for more commentary and even *gasp* All-NBA Crappy Reserves!

Two things.
One, Diop does deserve to be on that team. As a starter, he averages 2.6 pts, 4.5 rbs, 0.3 ast, 1.6 blks and shoots 50% from the field. Sure, he's there for his defense....but in the Western Conference, if he ain't guarding Yao then he's really not that valuable for his defense. And his 1.6 blks don't tell me that he's that great helping out on others. I like Diop's development from a bust to a serviceable player.
But the guy behind him....Erick Dampier....averages more pts, rbs, ast, shoots better and has nearly the same amount of blocks as a starter. Diop's main function is to keep the seat warm so Dampier can be their bench scorer down low.
Two, I am not a Jeffries right now. Just don't like him. Again, defense is defense....but that's the same reason Eric Snow still has a job in the NBA right now, lol. Well, that and passing it to LeBron.

Sportz,
I'm not sure Diop and Jeffries deserve placement an your All-Bad NBA 1st Team. I mean, neither guy can score, sure, but Diop has had a good postseason and Jeffries does a lot for the Wiz, namely giving them a 3 who can defend, handle the ball and get out on the break. In fact, I'm hoping they pay the man his money this summer and keep him in DC. -
man kobe piece of crap wade about to win finals that shows how much better wade is
