Steeler Fans Are Threatening

As soon as Ben Roethlisberger's head smacked that Chrysler New Yorker's windshield you knew Steeler fans were going to react in odd and interesting ways, and they have by no means let us down. First, they put parts of Big Ben's bike up for bid on eBay. Then they tailgated outside of the hospital while he was in surgery. Now, they're making threatening calls to the lady who was driving the New Yorker. I'll let The Mighty MJD get into this, because he's funnier than I'll ever be...

"I consider it a pretty big upset that it’s been limited to just phone calls. I’d have expected her house to have been vandalized by this point, maybe her car stolen… and I wouldn’t rule out physical assault on a 62-year-old lady, either. She should probably have just moved the second she hit him. If I was in her shoes, I’d have watched Ben bounce off the windshield, gotten out to see if he was alive, backed over him a few times so people would fear me, and then gotten back in my car and headed straight for Seattle, where I’d be given a key to the city, and they’d hold a parade in my honor."

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette sheds more light on the situation, and reports that it was the woman's fault, which probably doesn't help her standing much with Black & Gold nation.

You have to handle that kind of thing in-house.

Grudges are often all we have to hang onto during the lean years. People laugh when I tell them that I'll cave in Danny Ainge or Rick Pitino if I ever see them... but they always laugh while turning their hips to the side, just in case.

ok...first of all...yes he should have worn a helmet...but it wasn't all entirely his fault...the lady was driving way too fast...and she could've gotten out of the car...but she chose not to...and maybe if she did...steeler fans wouldn't be soo upset, and would've saw that she cared that she hit the leading quaterback...so back off of the steeler fans lady!

HE WAS NOT WEARING A HELMET, HE WAS DRIVING ONE OF THE FASTEST MOTORCYCLES MADE, AND DID NOT HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE. I FEEL SORRY FOR THE OLDER LADY, YES SHE TURNED IN FRONT OF HIM, BUT IF HE WAS GOING NORMAL SPEED THEY PROBABLY WOULD NOT HAVE COLLIDED. THE FACT THAT HE WAS GOING PROBABLY VERY FAST IS WHY THEY COLLIDED. MAYBE BEN HAS LEARNED HIS LESSON, THAT IS, TO WEAR A HELMET, AND NOT TO DRIVE FAST.  HE HAS NOT ONLY EFFECTED HIS LIFE BUT THE LIFE OF THAT POOR LADY, AND NOW SHE HAS TO PUT UP WITH THE THREATS OF THE FANS, ALL BECAUSE OF BEN'S POOR DECISION.SHAME ON YOU STEELER FANS.

As a western Pennsylvanian, If I where the driver of the New Yourker,(First I would Have gotten out of the car to see what I had done! reguardless of who I had hit.) After getting out of the car and foung out who he was, I would have found the closest bridge and jumped off of it into whatever river!

this is unbelievable. The man was driving without a valid motorcycle license and the poor old lady gets the wrath of the fans?
I am glad that I am a Packers Fan where we just sit around and gripe, but never act on what we gripe about!
