Clarett's Slippery Slope

Much appreciation to Sportz Assassin for finding this one. Maurice Clarett has signed with the Mahoning Valley Hitmen of the Eastern Indoor Football League. I have no idea where Mahoning Valley, but its newfound claim to fame is being home to one of the three existing EIFL teams, with the others being New Jersey’s Bay Shore Brawlers and Pittsburgh’s Three Rivers Rats.

The former Ohio State star is one of four players on the Hitmen roster, and action begins this coming January or February. Finally, as if this story isn't sad enough for all of you Clarett fans out there, the team's coach and GM says, "This isn't a runner's league, this is a passer's league. And he's going to try to make it on the ground." Ouch.

Maybe Clarett gets it now. We relish his failure.
