Bossaball Is a Sport to Get Behind
Got this email from Mr. Irrelevant reader Pedro last night...
"I live in Spain and a couple of weeks ago I witnessed this "phenomenon" I thought you might like to know about. It's a sport named bossaball, which is a mix of volleyball, soccer and gymnastics on a pitch of inflatables and trampolines (a big bouncy arena).Players are showing off juggling the ball. The audience dances around the arena, cheering. It's like one big crazy thing."
Sounds and looks fun enough to me. High degree of difficulty for sure, but it does involve girls in bikinis on trampolines, which we're sorely in need of now that The Man Show is no more (Right? It's off the air now, right?).
For more, see the photos and watch the videos (warning: topless sunbathing may be involved), one of which is scored to a Spanish-version of The Knack's 'My Sharona.'
