Hearing World Series Game 2

Ready for Campbell Now That the Skins Season Is Lost

It took me longer than others, but I'm joining the clarion call of Redskins nation... Let's see if the kid can play.

A few other notes on today's loss at Indy in which Washington went from being up 14-13 at the half to down 33-14 in the third...

-- It's amazing that Manning didn't even miss a snap after being bent over backwards by Phillip Daniels and Andre Carter. That thing looked serious.

-- The 15-yard penalty on Randle El for excessive celebration was unbelievable. He took a punt 82 yards to the house, ran into the goal post and fell over on his back. Unless I missed something that happened off camera, there was nothing there to penalize.

-- Harrison juked Mike Rumph worse than I've ever seen a corner get juked. Of course, it says a lot about the Skins' injury situation when Rumph (their fifth-best CB) is man up with the best WR in football.

Anyway, I had two friends in the RCA Dome for the game, one a Skins fan and one a Colts fan, so look out for updates replete with pics in the coming days.

Regarding the goalpost use, one of the articles the following day indicated the excessive celebration rule specifically bans the use of the goalpost as a "prop" in any celebration. May be idiotic as a rule, but it was pretty idiotic to do that, knowing the rules.
