Joe Gibbs Can't Quit You, Mark Brunell

As mentioned Sunday night after watching the Colts blow the Redskins out of the RCA Dome, Jason Campbell's time has come. This is what most Burgundy & Gold fans seem to be saying and, in some cases, making funny animated videos about. Speaking of, here's one from ExtremeSkins.com that my softball teammate Eddie (aka Big Easy aka Sleazy aka Step 'n' Throw aka Stop Tryin' to Go Deep Everytime, Eddie) just sent my way.

It's of Joe Gibbs praising and making excuses for Mark Brunell as ol' No. 8 runs through -- and fails -- such difficult passing drills as: a) hitting the broadside of a barn b) standing on the beach and throwing it into the ocean and c) throwing it out of a helicopter and hitting Earth. Sounds about right.

On a more depressing note, my brother has written an open letter to Gibbs. Blasphemer.

Update: Hey, the Washington Post's DC Sports Bog is linking to this post. Always nice to see my name (or my blog's name, at least) on the web site of the only paper I've ever known and loved.

Update: This cartoon is actually two years old, which is completely fascinating, and here's a profile on the creator.
