Hearing World Series Game 4

The SBL Interview: Gerald Wallace

For a good time, go to YouTube and search for Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace. What you find right off is Wallace palming a blocked shot. And then Wallace dunking over some poor guy. Hey, Wallace rejects Shaq! There are even a handful of fan-produced Wallace mix clips, my favorite of which is soundtracked to great effect by Tupac and Elton John...

Anyway, after catching up on Wallace's highlights, reading his file and polling some top NBA bloggers, Inside the Parker and I were ready to conduct the SBL interview. It was much fun asking him about practicing with Jordan, mocking Morrison's mustache, filling up the fantasy stat sheet, chugging Gatorade and more. He sounded almost as amused by us as we were by ourselves. Almost. And many thanks to The Basketball Jones, Free Darko, True Hoop, The Big Lead and Slam Online for contributing questions. Especially Free Darko, who now owes us his firstborn.

Bonus: SBL is giving away two copies of NBA Live '07, good for any platform, on our next show, Monday the 30th. If you'd like in on the random giveaway, email me at dcsportsguy@aol.com with 'NBA Live '07' in the subject line.

I'd say Wallace has been the NBA's most underrated player for about 14 months now.

dude, the firstborn was supposed to go to you, not him!!!

and when the baby happens, it'll go direct from womb to mail.
