Dan Marino Does Not Allow for Mistakes

I've long been a fan of Dan Marino's work. From throwing to the Marks Brothers in the '80s (Clayton! Duper!) to acting with Jim Carrey in the '90s ("Laces out, Dan!") to getting tweaked by Boomer Esiason in the '00s (Manning is the new Marino!), the Danimal delivers, intentionally or otherwise.

This blooper from HBO's Inside the NFL, courtesy of the always entertaining Barstool Sports, captures that notion perfectly. Marino flubs a line and pounds on the table while cursing in frustration, prompting a priceless reaction from Nick Buoniconti who hadn't seen that kind of action since '76. It's all harmless enough, and I imagine this was Marino's demeanor for much of the late-'90s when he was stuck handing off to Karim Abdul-Jabbar and throwing to O.J. McDuffie and Oronde Gadsden. "Goddamnit!"
