Kirk Herbstreit Shall Remain Unconvinced, Nebraska Fans

Via We Are the Postmen and NCAA Football FanHouse comes this terrific clip from ESPN Classic's Best College Football Teams Ever Show of a frustrated Kirk Herbstreit going off on 'Husker fans for rocking the vote so hard that the final ended up being '71 Nebraska vs. '95 Nebraska. It's a highly enjoyable way to spend five minutes of your time, especially when Lou Holtz, Lee Corso and Mark May jump into the fray. And while it may be easy to bash Herbstreit for being a misguided pain in the ass here, I congratulate him on spicing up an otherwise unwatchable program. Kudos, Kirk.

Elsewhere in FanHouse on the college football tip, our lead bloggers are previewing all 32 Bowl Games and have begun with the Poinsettia Bowl and the New Orleans Bowl. Obviously they have a long few weeks ahead of them, so stop by and say hello with a comment or two.

There's actually a Herb Streit in Amsterdam, and it's a nice place to visit.
