Mr. Irrelevant Named Ninth-Best Sports Blog!
Despite my meager attempt at campaigning, I only received 2% of the vote for Best Sports Blog in the Weblog Awards. Regardless, I thank all of the friends and family fans who accounted for my 160 votes. Because of you, I didn't finish last! That distinction goes to Full Throttle, which may be a skin site, I'm not sure.
Bravo to the gang at Kissing Suzy Kolber, who barely beat out Deadspin to take home the top spot. Judging by their victory speech they're enjoying it quite a bit, and they've also gone so far as to post a photo essay depicting the results. Thankfully they didn't do me as bad as they inexplicably did the Diecast Dude.
Before moving on and never speaking of this crushing defeat again, I'd like to thank the folks at Weblog Awards for hosting and including me in the proceedings. It was fun while it lasted, and I think it ticked my site's traffic ever upward, which is nice. Also, congratulations to I Guess I'm Floating, one of my favorite mp3 sites, for taking home Best Music Blog. Well deserved, gentlemen.

For the record, Full Throttle (located at http://cranialcavity.net/full
throttle/wp/index.php) is an excellent motorsports site covering major racing leagues the world over. It's written with genuine knowledge, intelligence, and without insulting anyone's intelligence or pandering to the lowest common denominator.
No wonder it finished last. -
I enjoy your blog. I've got a small team of writers doing something similar...check it out.

Maybe if you dropped the F bomb once in awhile you might have taken some votes away from KSK.
Just kidding. I know AOL would have none of that.
I did vote for you however. Can the other bloggers say they've been on Cold Pizza a few times? I didn't think so.
