Bryant Gumbel Burps On-Air (Twice)
The only thing bringing me joy as the Skins' defense puts Big Blue in the playoffs is that Fox/NFL Network microphones picked up Bryant Gumbel burping on-air twice during the game; once near the end of the third quarter and again at the beginning of the fourth. This may be a first (I've never heard anything like it during a broadcast), but I swear it happened. Ladies and gentlemen of the internet, bring forth the YouTube!
The first startling belch occurred during a pause in the commentary, and it was unclear whether it emanated from the pie hole of Gumbel or his babbling boothmate, Cris Collinsworth. But then the second one burst forth with great clarity while Collinsworth was droning on, and a mark was made.
Update: With 6 minutes left in the fourth the following exchange occurred ...
Gumbel: Let me just make note that we do not have indigestion up here. We had a mike open somewhere. We heard a couple of noises that were not of our doing, shall we say.Collinsworth: Thank you. I was wondering if those ribs impacted a little more than I knew.
Gumbel: Either that or I'm a great ventriloquist.
Hilarious! Ventriloquist? That doesn't even make sense! I still think it was Gumbel.
Update No. 2: Via Pro Football Talk and FanHouse comes audio evidence of both the first and second burps. You decide.
Update No. 3: It definitely wasn't Gumbel, because Westwood One radio also broadcasted the belch. Bonus points to radio guy Kevin Kiley for immediately reacting to it with the quip, "You could smell that from here."

I heard it and my boyfriend was in the shower. We have a DVR so when he got out of the shower we went back and sure enough a burp at 3:06 remaining in the 3rd... then we heard it again in the 4th!
