As promised, I spoke on the phone today with the unofficial Miss Super Bowl XLI, Sarah Spain. Who, you ask? (And by "you" I mean someone who doesn't actively read sports blogs, obviously.) Well, she's none other than the smokin' hot Bears fan who rewrote the Shuffle, put herself up for auction on eBay and eventually scored tickets to the game, thanks to the fine folks at Axe bodyspray.

You know, your basic Cinderella story that only happens in America or any other civilized nation with sports fanaticism, a free market economy and penchant for pretty ladies in cheerleader outfits.

Anyway, she's the lead guest on SBL from Miami tomorrow because she, like perhaps no one else, epitomizes why our show still exists. In confirming her appearance earlier today we talked about how wild the past week has been for her, from getting picked up by Kissing Suzy Kolber to being shut down by eBay to inexplicably choosing who she wants to take with her and her friends to the biggest of big games.

All in all, she seems like a great girl who deserves all of the good things heading her way, and the conversation was highlighted by at least a few things:

1. We both have a fondness for Wet Willie's.

2. Her parents aren't happy with the accompanying photo because it appears as if she has fake [boobs].

3. I talked up Matt Ufford from With Leather (who has fawned over Miss Spain here and here), and it sounds like he's got a chance.
