Hearing The The -- 'This Is the Day'
Cold Pizza Blogger Buzz: 'Ronnie Miller's Arsenal'
I wasn't getting my makeup did with Marshall Faulk or namedropping the Sex Cannon like last time, but Cold Pizza was kind enough to bring me on their airwaves once again for four glorious minutes of Blogger Buzz -- NCAA Tournament edition! Aside from Dana Jacobsen's spot-on knowledge of all things Can't Buy Me Love and my inability to say the words "college eye for the NBA guy" without stuttering (badly), highlights include me not being able to tell a joke. Enjoy ...
Seriously, doing this segment requires a certain sense of comic timing, a sense I don't seem to have and can't seem to develop. Thankfully, the material I'm working with is pretty good. Here's the ground we covered:
· The Big Lead on Joakim Noah's African Anteater Ritual.
· FanHouse on Noah declaring for the Draft on Dime Mag TV.
· FanHouse on Tyler Hansbrough's crazy time mask.
· Joe Sports Fan for his anti-Coach K letter and fake MySpace pages.
· Sports by Brooks on Appalachian State's bubblicious newspaper ad.
· FanHouse for their "College Eye for the NBA Guy" series.
All well and good, but it could have been really spectacular if we were allowed to feature The Big Picture's "Would You Do ... ?" tournament and Ladies ... 's forthcoming male version. Oh well, perhaps if ESPN weren't so concerned with things like "good taste" and "sexism." Maybe next time we'll wear them down, folks.
Also, a reminder: Comcast SportsNet's Blog Show (yeah, that's what we're calling it) starring D.C. Sports Bog man Dan Steinberg and I debuts roundabout 6 p.m. Friday, March 23, but our first only rehearsal is tonight.

Thanks to everyone here for the very kind words. I appreciate it.
Dana J rulez!
To answer Ufford's inquiry, I went sans makeup today. I know, the horror, the horror. -
jamie, you are seriously telegenic! unfortunately, your IQ is way above body temperature and you were far too articulate, so unsure whether a career in broadcasting is in your future.

If you and Steinz can capture 1/10th of the sparkz with Dana... well hot damn.
Big ups Jamie! -
good work as always.
