Hearing a track off The National's new album

Hockey Fights and the Grizzly Fans Who Love Them

Hockey blogfather Eric McErlain from Off Wing Opinion was at the Verizon Center before last night's Caps-Pens game  interviewing fans about dropping the gloves. The verdict? Fighting, for lack of a better word, is good.

Colton Orr throws stones. Witness one that landed.

More importantly than that though (at least from my perspective), is that this is a very cool thing for a blogger to be doing. Great idea and execution. It's stuff like this that makes me so grateful McErlain is leading our NHL FanHouse effort ... coming mega-soon!

Note: Japers' Rink points out over email that you can watch the above Orr-Donald Brashear fight. Spoiler: Brashear wins.

Update: McErlain also interviewed Brashear about fighting. Bravo.

The moment NHL FH puts me on, I will present to them a series of recurring interviews with former Bruins enforcer Jay Miller, who is a Falmouth guy. I know you're not into hockey, but this is the NHL equivalent of having a friend who lives next to Ozzy.
