Is Adrian Dantley the Art Monk of the NBA?
While waiting in line for a sandwich today (Potbelly owns!), I stumbled upon a fine piece by Washington City Paper's Dave McKenna on Adrian Dantley; the DC native who averaged 30 points per game and was a six-time All-Star for Utah between '79-80 and '85-86. AD was also a key member of the Bad Boy Pistons leading up to their back-to-back championships, yet he's not in the Basketball Hall of Fame:
"Dantley's numbers, at every level of organized ball, were ridiculous. On the snub meter, Art Monk's non-induction to his hall of fame's got nothing on Dantley's."
There should be three HOFers pictured here, and is that Jack Nicholson with green socks?
Check out AD's career profile, and make a case for any other perceived snubs in the comments. Chris Mullin? Bernard King? Dennis Rodman? Do tell.
