Wizznutzz' Jaarko Dances to Go-Go in DC
My story of Wiz-Cavs Games 3 and 4 has already been told, but there was one item that couldn't be included at the time due to a blog embargo. But now that the Wizznutzz' masterwork 'Jaarkos Big Day Out' has been posted, it's go time. This is Wizznutzz Finnish intern Jaarko Ruutu dancing to a street musician playing the buckets outside of Verizon Center on Saturday night...
Unbelievable. I thank Jaarko for that and for the high comedy in the cab rides both to and from the game (tiny taste: As we passed the National Building Museum he leans out the window and yells in his vaguely European accent, "MCI Center!"). This video also affords me the opportunity to share two tidbits I forgot to include previously:
1. After Game 4, Ian Eagle told Bill Raftery that I'm an "up-and-comer." The sincerity of his statement could be called into question, but I'll take it nonetheless.2. Also after that game, Zach Braff was lingering in the tunnel with his entourage, and a VC security-type -- who had no idea who he was -- repeatedly told them they couldn't stand where they were standing. Finally, they had no choice but to move along, prompting Braff to say loudly and sarcastically,"THANK YOU. YOU HAVE A GREAT NIGHT."
A little taste of Hollywood in DC!

I think I just might have to become a Wizards fan. I haven't ever had an NBA team but the vibe around the team is just too good. And if they're good enough for my fellow Finns, they're good enough for me.
