Hearing the new White Striples album, 'Icky Thump'

We're All Rooting for Cleveland, at Least a Little Bit

The Finals begin tonight and I'm taking Spurs in five, which is lame. So, despite actively disliking the Cavaliers and LeBron, I'm rooting for Cleveland to push San Antonio to six or seven. And in the communal spirit of sports blogging, two of my compadres invited me to participate in their Spurs-Cavs preview stylings.

The first is top NBA podcast The Basketball Jones, which asked bloggers to leave predictive v-mails. My cameo comes near the end, but the whole show is prime and features special guest (and indie rocker) Kelly Dwyer from SI.com. The second is up-and-coming sports blog Pyle of List, who asked for the same thing, but in text format.

Normally when contributing to these types of efforts, I like to ensure that mine is among the finest of the contributions, but I was outclassed by at least two folks this time around. One is Blog Show co-pilot Dan Steinberg, and the other is the Extrapolater, who I'll excerpt here (follow the link for more):

"Cavaliers in 3. LeBron’s divinity will be proven by this miracle, and yet thrice will the media deny him before the cock crows. LeBron don’t need no stinkin’ game four. He will be slayin’ all suckas until Tim lays his sword at Bron-Bron’s feet in submission, rather than suffer the inevitable game four humiliation at the hands of the King."

Geez, KD ... Based on your last.fm profile, you should really look into this genre called "classic rock." I think you'd dig it!

I'm as far from an indie rocker as these things get.  A might as well be your father:
