Blogger Goes Down With Bruised Knee Bone

After two months on the shelf with what was thought to be a torn meniscus, the doctor informs that I have a bruised bone in my knee. Here's a money shot from the MRI:

See all that whiteness on the right side there? Yeah, that's the bruise. And, no, my knee is not connected to my vagina (good one though, Chris!). Doc says it may take three or four months before it's healed and I can play basketball, tennis, etc., which seems like a long time ... for me to get fat. Anyone else out there have a more positive prognosis?

Hey, I am interested to know what happened. 2 weeks ago I was playing tennis on a damp court and slipped and landed directly on my knee. I have not been able to run on it since then and I had an MRI which showed bruised bones on the medial side. It is still painful to run. I hope it is not going to be 3-4 months before I can play tennis again!

That exactly what happen to me.  Did you knee swell?  I'm so happy to get a similar situatuion.   What did you dr recommend?  How did it happen to you.  I was tossed in the pool in the shallow 1 feet of water and landed on my knee.

Your knee looks like a dog bone from a cartoon. I think your doc just took a picture of The Wacky Doctor's Game and handed you the negative.

I thought that was just the camera adding 10 lbs. Apparently you really have gained 10 lbs.
