The Preseason Is Underrated

All I hear about the NFL preseason is that it's boring/useless/overly long, but I don't know about all that. Just this past weekend I was at Mrs. Irrelevant's family reunion surrounded by patriarchal types and we were all able to gather, drink beers and talk thanks to games that didn't count featuring teams we don't give a flip about. So it's with painful remorse that I missed the Skins preseason opener last night. Fortunately, YouTube exists, and I didn't miss a thing thanks to my friends and brothers at Saved by the Blog and Kissing Suzy Kolber.

First up, it's Clinton Portis with a typically funny postgame press conference...

Next, it's Brandon Lloyd's terrific diving catch followed by the play where Portis jacked up two Bengal defenders, getting injured in the process...

Long live the NFL, even if the games don't count (yet).
