Vince Takes on the NFL Uncle Rico-Style
.gif courtesy of Pro Football Talk
Since the past two Rose Bowls make up a significant percentage of the total amount of college football I've watched since 2004, I'm understandably fascinated by Vince Young's pro prospects. Here to weigh in are some friends of our's:
Football Outsiders/Fox's Tim Gerheim says, "Taking Young instead of Bush with the first pick would represent a monumental risk for the Texans."
Sportz Assassin says Houston should deal the #1 to the Jets (who'd take Reggie Bush), meaning Young would fall to New Orleans and they'd have to decide on him or Matt Leinart. I'm on board with Sportz and think N'awlins should take Vince.
Coztanza's Commentary weighs in, "Young will not take the league by storm and dominate off the bat. He will be a bit of a project. His throwing is going to need to improve. Show all the college stats you want, they are irrelevant. Vince's mechanics need to get a lot better. His sidearm throwing motion will not work. His balls will be batted down at the line."
So it seems Bush is the clear-cut #1. The Saints pick at 2 is where it gets interesting, but, yeah, Vince does kind of throw like Uncle Rico so Leinart may be the first QB off the board.

Once again Tony Dungy has proved that by benching your regular players for a substantial portion of the three games prior to the playoffs does not work for the Colts. At the end of the game, Manning, not Dungy had to wave the kicking team off the field. In addition, it was third and two and the Colts did not call time out but instead, threw a pass that was almost intercepted. The Colts were out of sync., which is understandable when your starting team hadn't played together for almost a month!

how 'bout giving the steelers all the credit for their win vs manning. he ain't no good if he's pressured and his receivers are covered.......duh!!!!!!!! despite the bs call by the zebras.
as far as carolina goes.........how lucky can you get? too bad, so sad for mushu :) -
PEYTON MANNING SHOWED LEADERSHIP SKILLS AFTER THE GAME. NO WAY!!!! A TRUE LEADER WOULD HAVE TOOK RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WHOLE TEAM. OR AT LEAST TOOK THEIR SHARE OF THE RESPONSIBILITY. ITS NOT NO ONE PARTICULAR PERSONS FAULT FOR THERE LOSS. STEELERS PLAYED BETTER THAN INDY.OFFENSIVEKY AND DEFENSIVELY.EVEN THOUGH THE REFS WERE SOO OBVIOUSLY ON INDYS SIDE. STEELERS ARE GOING ALL THE WAY. BETTIS TOOK RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS MESS UP. IF PEYTON WERE A
TRUE LEADER HE WOULD HAVE TOOK CREDIT FOR HIS TEAMS LOSS.
