We are a true grass-roots organization which evolved, like the Phoenix, out of the ashes that Kelly Chastain and her special and outside interest groups have left Colton in; and, like the Phoenix, we rose from those ashes stronger and more fervent to end corruption.
Citizens and voters of Colton, don't be deceived.
How many of Chastain's supporters - such as elected officials, private individuals, or union/association members - actually live and vote in Colton?
It's up to us, the true voters, to ensure our city, our elected officials, and those whose salaries we pay, truly look out for us and not their own "special interests."
Nickelodeon Pizza, like Ashley Furniture, like Fiesta Village and other businesses in Colton, is just that - a business in Colton that has every right to stand up on behalf of its employees and its patrons against corruption.
The fact that most Colton businesses are afraid to speak out is evidence of the "business friendly" atmosphere Chastain and city staff have failed to create.
The Sun Editorial Board states there are "six others"; however, Chastain single-handedly deteriorates relationships with San Bernardino County, Fish and Game, Wildlands Conservancy, the Colton Joint Unified School District, just to name a few.
For example, in a letter to Supervisor Josie Gonzales stating that, "On behalf of our residents ...," she submitted an alternative site for our regional park.
She sent that letter without the input of the "six others on the dais," and had the audacity to say she was acting on our behalf.
Such blatant arrogance!
She is not being singled out ... she is the single culprit.
More than 4,000 Colton voters endorse the recall.
We do not need outside or special interest groups such as developers, or Colton police and
fire unions/associations, who have poured large sums of money into her campaign and don't vote in Colton, to speak for us.
Chastain does not represent us, the honest, hardworking people of Colton. We have integrity, strong values, and solid ethics - traits Chastain and her groups don't possess.

Recall nonsense
Colton voters already elected Mayor Kelly Chastain, a courageous and inspiring woman.
A recall is an appalling waste of resources and would only cripple the city further.
There is no reason given for the recall by its few supporters, there is only loud incoherent babbling about how they "feel offended."
Truth is, Mayor Chastain was elected by the people of Colton, and they were not.
Now they want her out by force in order to start the mayoral elections all over again - they are the type of individuals who would turn over a board game when they are losing and then want to start the game over.
Such immature and aggressive behavior is only hurting the city and putting Colton's future at stake.
Mayor Chastain is humble, shy, and her iron will is dangerously underestimated, as are the number of her supporters.
She was elected because Colton voters trusted and believed in her potential to lead and move the city forward.
The recall is nonsense.
After many years of chaos and disorder she has brought a challenging, yet calm and supportive environment to Colton's City Hall.
Looking around one could see the progress in the city.
By standing firm and voting no on the recall, Colton has much more to gain with Mayor Kelly Chastain.
