Robin Williams Has a Plan-LOL

Picture from Hometown

I thought this was worth reproducing! For a further laugh on a different subject and esp. for American Idol watchers--

The Tag is by Chris at Kab's Creations---isn't she lovely? Looks nothing like me--I'm blonde ;-)

The Plan By Robin Williams

Robin Williams, wearing a shirt that says "I love New York" in Arabic.

The Plan!

You gotta love Robin Williams......
Even if he's nuts! Leave it to Robin
Williams to come up with the perfect
plan. What we need now is for our
UN Ambassador to stand up and
repeat this message.

Robin Williams' plan...(Hard to
argue with this logic!)

"I see a lot of people yelling for peace
but I have not heard of a plan for
peace. So, here's one plan."

1) "The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past &
present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those "good ole boys", we will never "interfere" again.

2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea, the Middle East, and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence.

3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are. They're illegal!!! France will welcome them.

4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers
or 7-11 cashiers.

5) No foreign "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby.

6) The US will make a strong effort
to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else(like Canada ! or Oklahoma!). They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere." They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given
to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything
.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way , no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH...learn it...or LEAVE...Now, isn't that a winner of a plan?

"The Statue of Liberty is no longer
saying "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses." She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'you want a piece of me?' "
:-)

MOTHERS

Picture from Hometown

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms in J-Land and their Moms and Grandmas and Great-Grandmas even! I hope that covers everyone...;-) Pictured is my Mom with her youngest grandchild and my nephew. I think she looks great for having a kid who is 52!  The lil red-faced guy looks like he was all wound up over Christmas festivities! He had served my Mom a cup of "tea"...I am a mom also, but not a grandma yet; I must be patient.  My sister is a mom x3. We have one grandma still on the planet; she has Alzheimers and is in a convalesant home.  She won't know what day it is, but my mom and two aunts will go visit her bearing gifts anyhow!

M - Messenger, relaying God's Word

O - Outpouring of genuine Love

T - Trusts in God

H - Heart set on things above

E - Earthly saint

R - Rescuer of the Wayward

I borrowed that from Tammy over at Friends in HIM. If you want more Mother's Day graphics and reading go visit Sugar; she's having a countdown and mother fest over at her journal!

Please remember there are those of us who are estranged from our children/mothers and/or missing them because we don't live in the same geographical place. There are those of us whose Moms' are no longer with us or who are very old and ill. Like any other holiday, it is just not all airy and light for everyone! Also certain not everyone's mother is an earthly saint! heehee...but dosn't it sound nice? ;-) When my son was growing up I used to have a affirmation taped to my mirror that said: "Just for today I am a good-enough parent." Whatever your situation, if you need support I hope you get it and have a fun day.

My plans are to go to church if I can get a ride; then later in the afternoon Dutch and I will go to a bookstore to browse if one is open and set up my new scanner/printer/copier. That was my gift along with a Krups coffeemaker. ;-) I called Mom yesterday.

So what are your plans and/or gifts? In need of support? You can leave that message here too! ;-)

Out on a Limb

Picture from Hometown

This is as abstract as you will ever see me get! In early March this limb caught my attention. Something about the three of them just dangling there. Threes can be good unlike the old saying: "Two is company and three's a crowd"!  ;-)

Love Quilts and AIDS

Picture from Hometown

If there is anyone left out there who didn't see this amazing piece of graphic art, I didn't want you to miss it! ;-)

Roxy's Love Quilt for JLand

If you go back to her journal from this linking page you will see the squares all nicely lined up!

Remember the AIDS quilts? Yesterday I read an article complete with stunning portraits in Newsweek. Time does not allow right now, but later I may try and scan the statistic page. The numbers blew me away. From memory I can briefly say this: 73% of the millions afflicted are in S Africa. Of the US afflicted it's the highest with Blacks, men and on the East coast. I know all kinds of research are important and I'm glad we hear a lot about breast cancer these days, but has the public forgotten HIV/AIDS or are we just in denial that there is still no cure? Among the portraits in the article are a fourth grade boy (straight A student) and a 25 year old pregnant woman photographed beautifully in a field (thanks to HIV drugs and her HIV negative husband, the baby has only a 10% chance of being infected) More later...I have to go beat the rain coming. ;-)

Round Robin~Freedom

Picture from Hometown

                           Teddy Bear

                 May 1994-March 2006

Freedom is a sensation I feel at the ocean; I know Ted felt it too!  Of course I snuck him off the leash as often as possible too...I have published this photo before, but until I get to go on that African safari I still like this shot best on the topic. It's looks like he's contemplating eternity; now he's there and feeling no pain.

"Him that I love, I wish to be free--even from me."

~Anne Morrow Lindbergh

"Freedom is not something that anybody can be given. Freedom is something people take, and people are as free as they want to be."

~James Baldwin

Thanks for the topic to Phinney at Paragon.

Top notch photography of other Robins <<<clicky

Positive Mental Health Experience

Picture from Hometown

Graphic by nightmaremom

Hi friends,

I was originally going to post this in SassysWORD since that is where I post on this topic, but low and behold, Sassy has been TOSed once again for sending bulk mail! Geez, can I help it if I have a lot to say to a lot of people?! I just can't seem to get what the AOL limit is! Grrrrrrr....

Moving right along, I really am surprised to have something positive to report about my recent mental health appointment! If you read my other entry then you know how bad it can get, but you know the saying "when one door closes another one opens"? In this scenario, I was afraid I was "burning my bridges" cuz I really slammed the door on my old psychiatrist; fortunately, I really did get a decent doctor who seems genuinely interested in finding a way to keep my clinical depression controlled. Unlike Dr. R, Dr. Z thinks there are many more options that we can try of adding combinations of medications. When she first suggested that we add an anti psychotic I thought OMG it's finally happened and I've gone over the reality edge, but she said there are many that when added to ant-depressant medication can make a difference in depression. The whole way I was treated was with respect and concern from when the office took my insurance information, the intake worker asked a lot of questions and then I finally got the medical evaluation with the Dr. Even the waiting room was a lot nicer (environment can make a difference) and more comfortable. Finally after 2 hours, I was able to go downstairs and find a snack bar and lovely craft items on sale in the lobby. Things are lookin' up! ;-)

graphic from Chris's tag group or was it Roxy's? I'm bad...
